| Cantors - A cantor is a person who leads the singing of the Mass as well as proclaiming the psalm in song. The role of the cantor is not to dominate or entertain but to help the assembly pray through music. To be a cantor you need to have a pleasant voice that people can easily sing with, know the basics of music and most importantly, be a person of faith. Music is given to the cantor in advance to practice on their own or in rehearsal with arrangements made with the accompanist. Each cantor at All Saints generally leads the music once a month. Every attempt is made to schedule according to cantor's preference of Mass time. Any rehearsing is scheduled by appointment. | |
| Adult Choir - The All Saints Adult choir consists of men and women able to sing in a SATB format ( soprano, alto, tenor, bass) in a variety of musical styles.
You do not have to be a soloist to be a part of this group. It does require a time commitment of the following: rehearsals Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:00 September through May, singing for Mass 2-3 times per month, with possible extra rehearsals for special events.
This is a fun group with a strong desire to praise God through music and help lead the assembly into a prayerful experience. | |
![]() | Joyful Noise Children's Choir - This choir is available for children in grades 1-5. This involves both our All Saints school children and our All Saints religious education students. Joyful Noise rehearses once a month and sings approximately once a month during the school year.
Schedules will be announced by mid August 2011. To register for joyful noise choir, click here. |
| Resurrection Choir - This choir leads the music at funerals. There are no requirements to be a part of this group other than availability weekday mornings. Sign up to be a part of this group and you will receive a phone call when a funeral is scheduled. We meet 30 minutes before the funeral to run through things and that is the only rehearsing involved. | |
| Instrumentalists - High school students and adults are needed to play in mini orchestras and to enhance some of our weekly music. This would be occasional and not require a large time commitment. Please contact the Director of Music to discuss this opportunity. | |
| Accompanists - Keyboardists and guitarists lead the music at our masses. This is open to high school students , college students and adults who are musically capable of learning church songs and able to lead with confidence. Generally speaking the music is not overly advanced. You could potentially be scheduled once or twice a month depending on your availability. Some cantors might want to rehearse with you and this is based on personal preference and schedules.
